To fill a maternity leave period, we are looking for a driven and dynamic Fashion Designer Womenswear (min. 32 hours per week) for a period of 5 months from November 1.

Profile
Do you breathe 'Fashion', do you have an affinity with the identity of Colorful Rebel, thorough knowledge of fabrics, always looking for newness and at the same time a healthy commercial eye? Applies to you; 'It's all-in the details', do you look at silhouette and shape, and for you it starts with 'colour'?
Do you have an affinity with making graphics and all-over prints and are you still available from November 1?
Then we are looking for you!

You are part of a small and close-knit design team. You are responsible and work independently on collecting and designing 4 womenswear collections per year, related to the concept.
This job is extra challenging because you design in the 'big picture' and work on the following product groups; woven, (non) denim, outerwear, sweat, tee and knits.
You work in a structured and accurate manner, think ahead and make well-considered choices with the aim of taking the collection and CR to a higher level. You also think about variations on bestsellers and new potential successes.
You have a commercial focus and ensure innovation within the set frameworks.
In short, your input is important and you contribute to the success of Colorful Rebel.

Job duties

  • Independently design and develop your own collections using tech packs in Illustrator.
  • Manage sourcing and development for new fabrics, trims or fits.
  • Visiting suppliers and selecting samples/new fabrics.
  • Identifying new trends through shopping and market research.
  • Involvement and assertiveness in proto meetings, proto fits and processing adjustments thereof in tech packs and overviews.
  • Making collections presentation-ready, presenting them and substantiating them to the MT
  • Point of contact for Buying and Development and Fit Specialist
  • Keeping an overview during the entire development process and being able to switch quickly and solve problems.
  • Maintaining archiving of substances and sourcing
  • Keep track of and respond to the set deadlines
  • Being able to design placed graphics and all-over prints is an advantage.

To demand

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Fashion Designer in the mid/high segment
  • Available for at least 32 hours as of November 1.
  • Completed HBO/WO education (Amfi/HKU/Artemis/Artez)
  • Technical insight regarding textile knowledge
  • Accurate within your designs as well as product-technically
  • No 9-5 mentality
  • Strong communication skills, spoken and written, both Dutch and English
  • Team player; you know how to convince, motivate and inspire colleagues;
  • Stress-resistant, have no trouble with deadlines and think in a problem-solving manner.
  • Energetic and driven: you look for a challenge in your work
  • You enjoy working in a busy and dynamic environment
